Comics adaptation of Emily Dickinson’s It’s All I Have to Bring Today.


I started experimenting with comics poetry in Susanne Reece’s CE class of the same name at SVA. It was immensely illuminating and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore new approaches to comics.




Life is Not Easily Bounded is a poem based on Derek J Skillings article published on Aeon.co that explores what constitutes an individual. The poem uses words from the article, from blacked out text and rearranged  
 

Spiders was an exploration of poetry from the perspective of an arachnid that is simultaneously tiny and larger than life.



In Process I used abstract images to explore my own feelings in the aftermath of my father’s passing. We had a complicated relationship, and never fully found how to integrate each other in our lives. 



Warm nostalgia explored in haiku form, respecting the 5-7-5 verse form.
