Upcoming: Gecko merch at the RisoLAB

The RisoLAB at SVA hosts a print sale every semester, showcasing zines, prints, books and other riso publications printed at the Lab. I will be selling three new items there.

The Planner for Busy Geckos is a Month + Week planner designed to tear away the weeks as they pass while keeping the important monthly dates on view. As a busy gecko myself, who juggles personal appointments, freelance projects and grad school, I needed an uncluttered and smart planner, so I designed it myself.
Wheel of Suffering is a five color riso print based on my thesis project, Dripping Sun, showing the protagonist Eva’s cycle of unfortunate events she’s trapped in as a working gecko in a hostile city -- relatable.
Followers of Civilization is a zine about some of my favorite gecko facts that I collected over the year I spent working on my thesis project. Guaranteed to make you more fun at parties!

The Print Slam will be held this Friday, July 25th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. The event is free and open to the public.

MFA Visual Narrative graduation

On June 19th, me and my classmates from the MFA Visual Narrative program, class of 2025, held individual artist talks at the SVA Theatre, attended the closing reception of our thesis exhibition And Then, and officially graduated from the program!

Personal news!

For the second year in a row, I have been awarded the Grant in Support of National and International Graduate Studies by the Council of the Arts and Culture of the state of Nuevo León. This grant has been key in completing my MFA, and I am incredibly thankful and honored for the support and recognition. It truly takes a village (or a state) to complete a graduate program!
